A native of Sunnyvale, California, Elaine comes from a family of musicians. Her father and brother both being drummers, and both have played a big part in her musical history.

EMaree started her musical career at the age of 7, when she taught herself how to play the organ. At age 11, she played the clarinet throughout high school, where she traveled and competed with the Sunnyvale High School marching band. In 1976, she started her first band playing the organ, along with a childhood friend who played the drums. At thirteen years old, they were the original members of the only Bay Area "all-girl" band - "The Satin Dolls". Together, for 6 years, they played all over the bay area.

In the early to mid-80's, Elaine played several years in various bands, one in particular called "EMERALD" with her brother, a drummer, which also included the current bass player and guitar player of The Danny Hansen Band, Dave and Larry. Twenty+ years later, she is playing again with Dave and Larry periodically, and enjoying every minute of playing and entertaining again.

EMaree enjoys all types of music, but when you hear her sing an old standard, you'll know that is where her heart is......the swing era!
